Artist Talk and Workshop with Jaffar Aly

Co-hosted with AN EFFORT Art Residency: Hear the artist Jaffar Aly talk about themes of identity in his art practice. Guests will then be invited to work alongside the artist on a large illustrative communal canvas whilst answering questions around belonging. The ticket includes drawing materials but you're welcome to bring along any dry media (basically anything that won't spill on you or the table).

Jaffar Aly is a contemporary portrait painter from London. He invites his sitters for deep conversations whilst he interprets aspects of them into bold illustrative portraits. Aly has shown in numerous exhibitions around London as well as his solo show Black Angst at No Format Gallery in 2021.
